The Parable

Of The

Wicked Tenants

The Parable Of The Wicked Tenants

And He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge around it, and dug a pit for the wine press, and built a tower, and let it out to tenants, and went into another country. When the time came, he sent a servant to the tenants, to get from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. And they took him and beat him, and sent him away empty-handed. Again he sent to them another servant, and they wounded him in the head, and treated him shamefully. And he sent another, and him they killed; and so with many others, some they beat and some they killed. He had still one other, a beloved son; finally he sent him to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ And they took him and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants, and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read this scripture:

‘The very stone which the builders rejected

has become the head of the corner;

 this was the Lord’s doing,

and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”

And they tried to arrest Him, but feared the multitude, for they perceived that He had told the parable against them; so they left Him and went away. Mark 12:1-12

"Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.  Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit.  And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another.  Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.  Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'  But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.'  So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.

"Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?"

They said to Him, "He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons." Matthew 21:33-41

Explanations:

1.     Religious leaders and their numerous churches, ministries and fellowships, as well as world leaders, nations and kingdoms have being fighting against the kingdom of God.

2.     Each group wants to dictate what shall happen in the world.

3.     But none of them can restore the world to its completeness, after the end time disasters and calamities, as God has done from time to time.

4.     They fail to recognize the fact that God has a master plan for the world.

5.     They neither follow the plan nor allow God do what He has set up for the future of the world.

6.     Both religious and civil leaders oppose due reformations inspired by God.

7.     And they team up with the ignorant masses to persecute and frustrate the true saints of God. This fact was evident in the life of Daniel and Jesus. Those in positions of authorities were fighting against the true men of God, when the leaders supposed to be giving the saints solid support.

8.     Even so they ignored the man who saw God face to face, before more than forty (40) times, later more than seventy (70) times and now more than hundred (100) times, Raphael Okechukwu Nweze, who is Jesus Christ reincarnated in their midst. That is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The Rejected Stone Has Become The Chief Cornerstone

Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:

'The stone which the builders rejected

Has become the chief cornerstone.

This was the Lord's doing,

And it is marvelous in our eyes'?

"Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.  And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them. But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they took Him for a prophet. Matthew 21:42-46

Explanations:

1.     Even so in this end time. The religious leaders are the very people blocking the gate of heaven, because they neither teach not practise the Truth, righteousness and holiness.

2.     They lacked the humility that will make them learn from the light-bearers of the Truth.

Apostle Matthew: What does this parable show?

The Head: It shows that all the people who do not bear the fruits of the kingdom, as expected from them by God Almighty, the kingdom shall be taken away from them and given to those who shall bear the fruits of the kingdom – to the people who shall do the will of God. This word and parable is for all the teeming world populations of humanity, who call themselves Christians, born agains and believers, and their various churches, ministries and fellowships, especially themselves and their religious leaders. All the things that God expects from them, they do none.

It is also for all the people in governments and leadership positions, because they exclude themselves from the laws of God, claiming that the laws of God and rites of holiness are not for themselves or their followers to keep. That is why they are always busy doing whatever that pleases them, breaking the laws and rites of holiness without remorse, without repentance and without restraint. Even so will God take away the kingdom from them, by fire and by force, and God will raise a new generation that will do the will of God.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well. This parable is explaining what is happening now, in this age, in this present and modern generations. It is also explaining what is happening now and here in this DivineBase Ministry.

Son of man, tell all the people coming here, in the presence of God, to be very careful. Son of man, if you divide them into two, some have come to do the will of God. Some have come not come to do the will of God. Some have come to pull down. Some have come to disorganize and scatter, and then go home. They are being told that Jesus Christ is in their midst and majority do not believe it. Instead of coming to see with their own eyes, themselves have come to attack with all the powers of darkness, to pull down the man who saw God face to face.

The Head: That is true.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, what do you think that the Angels will do to such people?

The Head: The Angels will arrest them all and chain them inside the hell fire.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, they shall be removed, their names shall not be found in the book of life, at all. That is what the parable is explaining.

Chukwudi: What about those messengers killed by the tenants?

Apostle Matthew: Those messengers refer to the various types of ministers of God, sent to the world by God, to save humanity, to make people repent. But humanity did not welcome the messengers of God. They looked down upon the ministers of God, disbelieved and ignored them. Many of the Saints and prophets grieved in their hearts.

The Head: That is true. Many were killed.

Apostle Matthew: Humanity killed the Saints and prophets whom God sent for the salvation of humanity. And God sent His only begotten FirstSon, Jesus Christ.

Apostle Matthew: What did humanity do to Jesus?

The Head: They also arrested and crucified Him. This act was a very great and terrible offence, with endless consequences. But out of love, wisdom and mercy, God put the salvation of humanity in the Blood of Jesus. Thereby God proved Himself as the Lily of the Valley, who is able to turn the worst situation into the best. And people, and the evil spirits and demons that inspired them to kill Jesus, did not know this fact. In their efforts, they wanted to remove and destroy Jesus, but in the blinking of an eye, God turned the crucifixion and death of Jesus into salvation and victory, for all who believe in Jesus Christ.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well. Jesus was explaining what is happening in this very present age, in this end of the end time.

The Head: Yes.

Apostle Matthew: Many enemies, various nations come to pull down this DivineBase Ministry, but God will pull themselves down, both physically and spiritually. That is the meaning of this parable.

The Head: Thanks be to God.
